Diary, 1758-1786.

Diary and notebook, 1758-1786, of Carr Huse. Entries covering the period April-July 1758 record his service in Col. Jonathon Bagley's regiment, marching across Mass. to central New York through Schenectady, Stillwater, Saratoga, Fort Miller, etc., during the French and Indian War. Later notes and memoranda include financial accounts and biblical citations, ca. 1965, records of his two marriages, and of deaths and births in his immediate family. Additionally includes entries, 1780-1786, recording seven marriages performed by Huse while serving as Justice of the Peace in New Chester (now Hill) New Hampshire.
